Loïck Gérard

Panel Session 2 : Encadrer l’usage des puissants outils d’aide à la décision utilisés par l’administration – Monitor the use of the powerful decision support tools used by the administration

 

Loïck Gérard est assistant à l’Université de Namur depuis 2015, dans le cadre du cours de Sources et principes du droit.  Il est également chercheur au sein de l’Unité liberté et société de l’information du Centre de Recherche Information, Droit et Société (CRIDS).

Ses recherches actuelles sont centrées sur l’application des nouvelles technologies aux autorités publiques et, plus particulièrement, sur les traitements et échanges de données à caractère personnel au sein des administrations.

Dans le cadre de son mandat de chercheur au CRIDS, il accompagne les administrations de la Région wallonne et de la Communauté française dans la création et l’application du cadre légal et réglementaire encadrant leurs pratiques de traitement et de partages de données à caractère personnel.

 

Loïck Gérard has been assistant at the University of Namur since 2015 for the course on Sources and Principles of Law. He is also researcher in the Freedom and Information Society Unit of the Research Centre in Information, Law and Society (CRIDS).

His current research interests focus on the application of new technologies to public authorities and, more particularly, on the processing and exchange of personal data within public administrations.

As part of his mandate as researcher at CRIDS, he assists the public administrations of the Walloon Region and the French Community in the creation and application of the legal and regulatory framework governing their practices for processing and sharing personal data.
