CV (FR) : Ysolde Gendreau, professeur à la Faculté de droit de l’Université de Montréal où elle enseigne le droit de la propriété intellectuelle et le droit de la concurrence, est actuellement vice-doyenne aux affaires externes et aux communications. Diplômée de l’Université McGill (B.C.L., LL.B., LL.M.) et de l’Université de Paris 2 (doctorat en droit), elle est membre du Barreau du Québec. Elle a aussi enseigné à l’Université McGill, l’Université de Paris II, l’Université de Paris XII, l’Université de Nantes, l’Université de Strasbourg III, l’Université de Lyon 2, l’University of Victoria (programme d’été à Victoria et Oxford), l’University of San Diego (programme d’été à Florence), et Monash University (Australie). Le droit d’auteur, et plus particulièrement ses aspects comparatifs et internationaux, est son domaine de prédilection. Ses publications sont nombreuses, tant au Canada qu’à l’étranger, et elle a été responsable du chapitre canadien de l’ouvrage International Copyright Law and Practice, alors édité par Paul Geller, de 1999 à 2013. Parmi ses publications, on retrouve A Shifting Empire: 100 Years of the Copyright Act 1911, Cheltenham, Edward Elgar, 2013 (co-dirigé avec U. Suthersanen) et Langues et droit d’auteur / Language and Copyright, Montréal, Carswell & Bruxelles, Bruylant, 2009 (co-dirigé avec A. Drassinower). Elle a été membre du Conseil d’examen du prix des médicaments brevetés (1995-2000), présidente de l’ATRIP (Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property) (2003-2005), et présidente du groupe canadien de l’ALAI (Association littéraire et artistique internationale) (2006-2011). Elle est vice-présidente de l’ALAI et membre associée de l’Académie internationale de droit comparé.
CV (EN): Ysolde Gendreau, professor at the Faculty of Law of the Université de Montréal where she teaches intellectual property law and competition law, is currently Associate Dean for External Relations and Communications. A graduate of McGill University (B.C.L., LL.B., LL.M.) and of the Université de Paris II (doctorat en droit), she is a member of the Bar of Quebec. She has also taught at McGill University, Université de Paris II, Université de Paris XII, Université de Nantes, Université de Strasbourg III, Université de Lyon 2, University of Victoria (summer programme in Victoria and Oxford), University of San Diego (summer programme in Florence), and Monash University (Australia). Her main field of expertise is copyright law, especially comparative and international issues. She has published extensively, both in Canada and abroad, and was the Canadian contributor to Paul Geller’s International Copyright Law and Practice in 1999-2013. Among her publications are two books she has edited: A Shifting Empire: 100 Years of the Copyright Act 1911 (Cheltenham: Edward Elgar, 2013) (edited with U. Suthersanen); Langues et droit d’auteur / Language and Copyright, (Montreal: Carswell & Brussels: Bruylant, 2009) (edited with A. Drassinower). She has been a member of the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board (1995-2000), President of ATRIP (Association for the Advancement of Teaching and Research in Intellectual Property) (2003-2005), and President of the Canadian group of ALAI (Association littéraire et artistique internationale) (2006-2011). She is a Vice-President of ALAI and an associate member of the International Academy of Comparative Law.
